Government assistance is exactly like feeding stray animals. Just because it isn’t a polite way of describing it doesn’t mean it isn’t accurate. This is a case where the truth hurts and people don’t want to hear it.

Would you tell your roommate you're gay?
I’m in college about to graduate. I probably won’t be able to live on my own anytime soon so will probably have to find an apartment with a roommate. I’m moving to a new city so I’ll likely end up living with a complete stranger.

I know we don’t need to disclose to anyone if we’re gay/lesbian, but I just don’t want it to end up causing problems. Like if my roommate finds out I’m gay after I already moved in and wants me to leave. Or if I’m dating someone I want to be able to hang out at my place without it being weird.

Whether my roommate be a man or woman, I’d probably want to have cofffee or lunch with them to get to know them before I sign a lease to live with them. Just to make sure we’re going to get along. I wouldn’t want to be at each other’s throats the whole time! I’d somehow try to work in their thoughts on gays/homosexuality into the conversation at some point. If they’re extremely homophobic, that would be a red flag right there. I just figure it’s better to know sooner rather than later.

How would you approach this situation? Have you ever dealt with anything like this before?

With my roommates, one of them is an obvious dyke (ironically, the one I least get a long with) so FYI, just because you’re both lesbians or gay friendly doesn’t mean you’ll get a long. Sometimes I get a long with a homophob better than like another lesbian. With my straight male friend who looks very homophobic and kind of non-educated looking, I was presumptuous.

He had nothing against gay men, lesbian, and bisexuals, he hated God and sort of had a big mouth (like a child) about transgendered people. Like if a really tall girl visited me, he would be kind of like "is that a chick with a dick!?" "remember the last one, A? he looked real!" He’s very childish in that way but he’s getting better. I told him when he goes to LGBT events with me, he has to expect that and learn to not talk while we’re there, cause it’s going to cock block me and me and my guys have this one belief, get laid, that’s the most important thing in life. People who might seem kind of homophobic can be trained. They’re just kind of… you know, sometimes, like children.

I think i smoked laced weed?
This is a bit long…but try to read it all. its actually kind of funny.

So i went with my friend after school on friday to HIS friends house but i knew the guy so it was cool. And there was this sketch guy that came too so there were 4 of us, and 1 sketchy guy. Anyway….it was my friends weed we were smoking and we all started smoking out of a smallish bong and we packed HUGE bowls and the weed was so perfect. it was beautiful. The bong was passed around a few times and a rip which was kind of small because my lungs weren’t warmed up to anything real big yet. and i felt fine…like a normal high. Then the bong got passed around and i took another rip but this time really big. I started coughing (god i hate coughing). Then about 10 minutes later when it was passed around i had to say "NO" to free weed, which is quite a shame. why? because i felt like shit, my head was dizzy, i could barley keep my head up, i felt like i was going to pass out, and it was really hard to breath. I called my sis and she took me back to my house in which i somehow got upstairs and passed out on the bed for hours. Then my dad came home, made dinner and didn’t know if i was home so he went in my room and saw me passed out and he probably thought i was high because he said "aspen cmon its time to wake up, you have school" AND I FUCKING HATE HIM FOR THAT because i didn’t have school and he was fucking with me but i believed him and then he said "its time for dinner"… and then i was trying to get up out of bed but i felt too bad so when he left my room i just layed down and fell asleep again. The whole thing is that i didn’t remember this…and my dad told me this the next morning. I didn’t remember a thing that happened after i fell asleep which is actually kind of scary. Heres my symptoms when i first started feeling bad:

headache
VERY hungry (that or my stomuch hurt a lot)
confused
sick
hot
feverish (kinda the same as hot)
couldn’t stay awake.

When i was at my friends, they said i looked completely dead and pale and i had really bad dry mouth so my throat was raspy too. I have a feeling like this stuff was laced with something. Could it? if so, what do you think it was laced with?

Right now its the morning later, i feel a lot better, although i feel still a bit dizzy and have that feeling like "what happened….?". i also have this weird wallpaper in my room thats patterned and when i look at it i get a bit dizzy but as far as thinking and emotions i feel fine so i don’t know if i could be tripping or not.

BTW: i have a health problem where i don’t eat enough…anorexic maybe…i don’t have a mental eating disorder but i don’t get that hungry feeling anymore. and i knew i was really hungry before i smoked. so is it possible i got sick from not having enough nutrition for when i smoked weed and my motabolizm sped up?

Please help me with this. i really would like to know. I’m pretty pissed at my friends right now.

haha its not your friends, its called "greening out" or "whitey" (pale face and dizziness). it sometimes happens when you rip too big a bowl and sometimes it just happens for no reason. there absolutely no reason to be concerned, youll feel normal soon, that "what happened" feeling is just like getting to drunk and not remembering, its nothing really. a couple of things to make your smoking sessions better is know how big a bowl you can handle and leave time in between them, smoking weed it just like drinking alchohol you slam em down and next thing you know your getting drunk and then more drunk and then more drunk even though youve finished your drinks, thats how weed is, it takes a short time for a bowl you smoked to fully kick in. experiment a bit and try pick a bowl that on your first one makes you nicely high but just not "smashed" wait a little while 5 - 10 mins or however long you think that you wont get more stoned, then smoke the second bowl etc… if you do this you be able to smoke alot more and get more stoned without the "unwanted" side effects such as confusion and flushes (hot and cold feeling) etcc.. good luck

Help!!! I need some road trip advice?
Ok so next summer i am going on a road trip to California.
I’m leaving from Florida so that means that i will probably be driving through Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California

I need places to go

Currently i have a list of places that we would like to stop at
they are:
The Grand Canyon
Hoover Dam
Las Vegas
Mississippi River
The 4 corners of AZ, NM, UT, and CO
Yellowstone National Park
San Andreas Fault

i was just hoping somebody could tell me some places they recommend stopping at that wont be too far out of my way, oh and also some things to do while im in California

Texas- depends where you go thru San antonio as the river Walk Six Flags The Alamo, Galveston beach is next to Houston, Houston has the Zoo NASA MALLS Museums, theres a huge Park by Huntsville where you can camp(between houston and dallas) real nice, Dallas has Six Flags

Yellowstone is all the way in the tip of Wyoming. I was going to plan a road trip to Cali but didn’t have enough time to do it all. We are now going down to Alabama, in the Gulf Shores area, you might want to stop there. You could probably go to Yosemite in California because you won’t be driving past Yellowstone in the least. Have fun!

Hi, Do you know where Yellowstone is?? Yosemite Nat’l Park is in Calif and amazing from at least 3 entrances. The Redwood Groves and Yosemite Village and Glacier Point should take about 2 days to see and well worth your effort.
Have you driven on the Natchez Trace in Mississippi?
The Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma City is amazing!
From the north rim of the Grand Canyon it is a short drive to Zion Nat’l Park and you can take the free shuttle thru it and see alot in half a day or stay in town and take the free town shuttle to park entrance.
